None of that Sissy Crap

Are you tired of those sissy “friendship” poems that always sound good,
but never actually come close to reality?
Well, here is a series of promises that actually speak of true friendship.
You will see no cutesy little smiley faces on this card-no teddy bears, no hearts, no rainbows, no angels.
Just the stone cold truth of […]

A Big question that begs an answer

Before entering the bathroom, do you knock?

What happened to Foxy?

Ever since I met my husband, more than 13 years ago, he has called me “Foxy” as a nickanme.  Yes, once in awhile there would be a “honey” or something, but mostly I was “Foxy”.  Now, many years and three children later, I noticed something.  I am no longer “Foxy”.  I have become, “Mama” or […]

Happiness Fairy

I know, I know.  This is offensive.  But it so cracked me up, how could I not post it?

Marriage Math

I just read that last year 4,153,237 people got married. I don’t want to start any trouble, but shouldn’t that be an even number?

Lotion

I love lotion. I have so many I can’t keep up. There are so many lovely scents. I love the smell of baby lotion, especially on a fresh out of the tub little one. Neutrogena is one of my favorites. The sesame seed one, perfect for a light scent on a perfume free day. And […]

Old love notes

I found an old love note from my husband the other day.  It was so sweet, wonderful, well written.  I wondered if he remembered it and if he still felt the same.  I did not actully do this but considered, Can I give the letter to him, have him read, sign and date it on […]

Clench!!

I have one more room I would like to get done tomorrow.  With every backward pull of the vacuum and streamer I clenched my butt cheeks.  Does this count as a work out, and more importantly will it work?

Tossed out

I know everyone has specific expectations for others.  I know we are, in general, consistently disappointed in others when they do not live up to our expectations.  I also realize that the problem is the expectations rather than the other person.
I thought that when you go crazy, are off base, make a mistake, […]

Lotion and Yoga mats

Lesson for the day
As a Yoga teacher I know this, yet I rushed through my morning routine and forgot.  I put lotion on my legs and yes, my feet, as I raced to prepare for my next class.  Lotion and Yoga mats do not mix.

Faceball

Faceball
A new fabulous game for those slow days at the office.  Worth exploring and learning.  If you have an office, you should be ashamed for not knowing and playing faceball.

Dreams

Anyone else always have background, mood-setting music in their dreams?

Lizard

Not sure if this is an experience shared by many others but on Sunday as my husband was preparing the meal, grilled tritip, he reached into the freezer and pulled out a dead lizard in a baggy. Now, the shock on his face was hilarious, but more surprising was the lack of shock he saw […]

Feel like a woman

Nothing makes me feel more like the beautiful, vibrant, needed woman I am than when I am given the chance to change the toilet paper roll in the middle of the night.

Garage sales

Ok!! I must first address the biggest question on everyone’s mind this forth of July weekend; why are the individuals that go to garage sales so cheap? Yes, I know it is uncanny that I could read all of your minds like that, but I am serious. I know that just the idea of people […]

Squeeze, rub, groom and done!

“Squeeze, rub, groom and done!” Yes, this is my lesson for the day. My first lesson I am adding to my journal (blog for today), documenting for future generations to read. I have decided to keep a journal of all the things I learn. Maybe it will be something I can someday pass on to […]

2 CM

I do not believe that it is ever ok to make fun of other people. It is mean, makes others feel bad, and sends a huge message about your own personal integrity. It is however incredibly funny and a very large part of who I am. It is also a critical element within my marriage. […]

lid?

Always lift the lid to the toilet for vomiting sleepwalking family members. Do you seriously want a longer explanation?
I did not think so.
